We’ve all heard that hospital Emergency Department wait times are getting longer, beds are scarce, and 9-1-1 response times have increased. Communities are struggling with the opioid crisis, natural disasters and gridlock. While efforts to expand our current capabilities are underway, it will still take many years and cost billions of dollars. – We need to act now!
Often, during emergencies, people are seen standing idly by. They are called Bystanders; they want to help but are unsure of what to do and are afraid of causing further injury to the patient or getting sued. The fact is, we need this enormous untapped resource of people to take action and start first aid before 9-1-1 emergency services arrive.
To help bystanders respond with confidence, the Get Ready team of emergency managers, Police, Fire, EMS and medical professionals have developed Ready FIRST AIDE™, a web-based app giving bystanders immediate access over 60 short "how to" videos and 140 treatment checklists and procedures on their mobile devices.
Become a willing bystander™ is the ideal hospital fundraising program. Community businesses and organizations can purchase the Ready FIRST AIDE™ Web app for their staff, students and organization members for the one-time fee of only $12.00/User and 50% or $6.00 /User goes to the Hospital Foundation.

Rollout Process for Become a willing bystander ™
- Agreement – Referral Fundraising Agreement, The Hospital Foundation does not have any ownership, nor reseller status nor does the Hospital Foundation endorse the product or any of the content.
- Create a Fundraising Master Account – in ATLAS (Get Ready’s Proprietary Cloud based software)
- Public Announcement – Together the Hospital Foundation and Get Ready will announce the Become a willing bystander™ Program by sending out a News Release, social media, and newsletter emails to community businesses and organizations.
- Order Ready FIRST AIDE™ User Apps $12.00 / User plus GST. – Once the order is confirmed and payment received. Each online order is linked to the specific Foundation to ensure the money is directed to the correct account.
- Customer Sub-Account QR Code created – in ATLAS by Get Ready under the Master Account of the Hospital Foundation account so there is instant visibility by both Get Ready and the Foundation staff to review orders and activity. Purchases, amounts paid, and monthly statements will be available.
- Customers are sent a unique QR Code and collateral material – (template, emails, poster and stickers) by Get Ready
- Get Ready sends 50% of money collected each month to the Hospital Foundation and monthly report from ATLAS. The hospital Foundation can then follow-up with community partners and thank them for their donation and participating in the Become a willing bystander™ program and helping to create a safer community.

All Social Media and promotional emails include and Order Now to take businesses and organizations directly to the Ready FIRST AIDE™ shopping cart so orders can be placed quickly and easily online. We use Stripe Checkout for our client financial transactions – our shopping cart takes users seamlessly to the Stripe portal where the financial transaction occurs. Get Ready does not have any access nor do we collect to any personal or financial information.
